Who we are

GTM Search Partners is a trading name of Warrell & Reid Pty Ltd (ABN 82 651 080 116), an executive search and recruitment firm based in Paddington, Brisbane QLD. In this policy, "we", "us" and "our" mean Warrell & Reid Pty Ltd trading as GTM Search Partners.

We are committed to handling personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).

What we collect

If you are a candidate: your name and contact details, CV and work history, qualifications, right-to-work status, remuneration details and expectations, referee details, interview notes and assessment records, and any other information you provide to us or authorise us to collect in the course of representing you.

If you are a client or hiring contact: your name, role and contact details, information about your business, roles, teams and hiring plans, and the commercial terms of our engagement.

If you use our online tools (such as the Sales Compensation Designer or Role Brief Builder): the details you enter into the tool and, where you choose to unlock a full report, your name, company and work email together with the inputs and results of your session. By unlocking a report you agree that we may contact you about your results.

If you visit our website: standard technical information such as browser type, pages visited and approximate location, collected through cookies and analytics services where enabled. You can control cookies through your browser settings.

How we use it

  • To provide executive search and recruitment services: identifying, assessing and representing candidates, and filling roles for clients.
  • To respond to enquiries and tool submissions, including contacting you about the results of a tool you have used.
  • To manage our client and candidate relationships, engagements and records.
  • To send occasional insights or updates we believe are relevant. You can opt out at any time.
  • To improve our website, tools and services.
  • To meet our legal and regulatory obligations.

Candidate confidentiality

We never present a candidate to a client, or share a CV, without that candidate's consent for that specific opportunity. We contact referees only with your knowledge. If you register with us or use a candidate tool, your information is not shared with any employer without your agreement.

Who we share it with

  • Clients: candidate information is shared only with consent, as described above. Client information is not shared with candidates beyond what is necessary to represent a role accurately.
  • Referees and verification providers: with your knowledge, to verify work history, qualifications or right to work.
  • Service providers: we use reputable third-party providers for website hosting and forms, recruitment software, email and document storage. These providers process information on our behalf under their own security and privacy obligations.
  • As required by law: where disclosure is required or authorised by Australian law.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not display advertising built on it.

Overseas storage

Some of our service providers (including our website and hosting platform) may store or process information on servers located outside Australia, including in the United States and Europe. Where this occurs, we take reasonable steps to ensure the information is handled consistently with the Australian Privacy Principles.

How we protect it

We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, interference, loss and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure, including access controls, reputable hosted systems and confidential handling practices appropriate to executive search. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

How long we keep it

We keep personal information for as long as it is reasonably necessary for the purposes described above, to maintain accurate placement and engagement records, and to meet legal obligations. Candidates may ask us to remove their details from our active records at any time.

Access, correction and choices

  • You may request access to the personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it if it is inaccurate, out of date or incomplete.
  • You may opt out of marketing communications at any time using the unsubscribe link or by contacting us.
  • You may ask us not to contact you about a tool submission, or to delete it.

We will respond to access and correction requests within a reasonable period. In limited circumstances we may need to refuse a request; if so, we will tell you why in writing.

Complaints

If you believe we have mishandled your personal information, please contact us first using the details below. We take this seriously, and will investigate and respond promptly. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The current version will always be available on this page, with the date of the last update shown above.
